THERMAE PUBLICA
The Thermae, the public baths. This large complex is divided into male and female sections, each containing cold, warm and hot baths. The baths are fed by water from the major aqueducts of Rome, and get priority over the water directed to private dwellings. Inside the complex of the Thermae Publica is a Greek-styled palaestra, and just outside is a thermopolium always ready with huge servings of hot food.
