TEMPLE OF SATURN - 1 Viewing
It's said that Saturn was a king of the Latins, and that there was no theft under his rule. Saturn has now been entrusted with the treasury and public property; his temple houses riches to make even a Dictator jealous, and all of it belongs to the Republic as a whole. Located on the Western end of the Forum, this temple also holds bronze tablets inscribed with Roman law, and an imposing statue of Saturn watching over the property of the people.

TEMPLE OF VESTA
This Greek-inspired building faces East; for Vesta was is the goddess of the hearth and home, and the fires of the sun are mirrored in the sacred flame housed by her temple. The fire is tended by the Vestal Virgins, however the temple itself was never dedicated. Instead of holding an image of the goddess, it instead has a statue of Minerva, said to be brought from Troy by Aeneas.
