Just Ahmose. He doesn't make himself known enough to get any form of personal nickname - after all, he likes to think of himself as part of the background. And who would go through the effort of giving the scenery a nickname?

POSITIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS:
reserved, he's not in-your-face or heavily opinionated; he doesn't object, or complain, or whinge about the tiniest little details. He keeps his thoughts to himself, mostly, and rarely surrenders them even if directly asked. Why? Well, he's pretty sure people aren't interested in what he has to say. It's not that important, is it?
resourceful, trying to make something out of nothing is something you either get good at, or fail at miserably. Ahmose is one of those who has seemingly mastered the art of being resourceful, being able to make something out of almost any situation. That is, if it's something he's encountered before; surprises are a lot harder to deal with.
optimistic , things will be better! That's Ahmose's mantra to life; because everyone needs some sort of philosophy to live by, and for his short life this is the only one that's worked for him. He strives to find the bright side to any situation, because it's a whole lot better than dwelling on the bad things in life.
loyal, Ahmose doesn't know the meaning of 'disloyalty'. His entire life is based around serving others; whether he wants to or not. He's actually pretty good at it. But that's not the point; the point is that he is almost constantly gripped with what you could call gratitude for his 'masters'; they're the ones who provide for him, after all, the ones who make sure he gets fed and has a place to live. Generosity like that deserves some sort of loyalty, doesn't it?
kind-hearted, there are people in the world who seemingly don't have a mean bone in their body. They can find a way to justify any negative action, can forgive just about anything; it sounds insane, but they exist. Ahmose is one of those people. Now, one would think that being in servitude all his life would have made him bitter; but when he likes helping people? To someone who actually enjoys cleaning? It's pretty much his ideal job. Maybe that's why he's so nice all the time.
NEGATIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS:
introverted, he'd pretty shy. He keeps to himself, not really because he wants to be, but because he's just so insular that he just doesn't attract much attention. He doesn't voice is opinions or incite arguments, nor does he feel the need to participate in conversation; he's far more likely to wait for something to happen to him than to go out and search for adventure.
insecure, he's never sure if what he thinks or has to say is actually valid in any shape or form, whether its the right thing to say or right way to act or if he should just fade in to the background. This shows itself in stuttered and confused sentences, and some idle talking to himself; because when faced with something he's not sure about, most forms of communication seem to fail him.
low self-esteem, Ahmose doesn't think much of himself. He has the unusual position of having grown up and not once regarding himself as the centre of the universe; which isn't all that great for a growing sense of self-awareness. It's probably why he's so insecure; because he's never sure of himself. Never has been, and probably never will be.
generalises, since he hasn't seen too much of the world, or experienced much beyond the household he lives in, Ahmose's idea of other people, cultures, and more is all bound up on the scraps of conversations he's heard or the rare thing he's been told. The end result is that he has an idea of the world that is categorically lumped together through stereotypes and generalisations, an innocent mistake that will probably get him in trouble one day.
naive, despite his life, Ahmose is pretty naive about everything. As has been mentioned, he's too trustworthy; and this is, in part, to the simple fact that he doesn't know any better. He never got any serious education, or even had a mentor to tell him about some of the dangers of life. To this day, his blissfully unaware of the darker part of life; and his own experience with it has been brushed aside as normality.
HABITS/QUIRKS:
respectful, he always addresses others in the most respectful way possible, all demure and subservient - even if they're just a child, or another inferior.
staying still, he can't. It's something incredibly difficult for the boy to manage; he always has to be moving just a little bit, even if it's just tapping his fingers or slightly swaying as he stands.
ITEMS:
red scarf, a garment that used to belong to his mother. He keeps it close, being the only thing he has to remember her by.
ANYTHING ELSE?:
eyesight, Ahmose suffers from what is now known as Retinitis Pigmentosa, and to him as "I can't see very well". He's unfortunate in that the disease is already significantly progressed; the beginnings of tunnel vision are making themselves apparent, and as it is he has extreme difficulty in seeing in dim light and judging differentiation in said light. His eyesight is probably why he is so subdued and lacking in any real energy; mostly he's just trying to not trip over every uneven surface.
family, he's pretty much an orphan now, which isn't a very good position to be in. His mother, a slave from Egypt, never mentioned the rest of her family, and he has no clue who his father is aside form knowing that he is Roman.
reading & writing, his mother was starting to teach him how to read and write before she passed away; wanting to bestow upon her son some form of skills beyond domestic tasks, in the hopes that he would one day earn his freedom. Unfortunately, he was never very good at it, although he does still try his best now that she's gone.
